There is no canopy to clear at Pouso Alegre — the tower stands in open wetland beside a lagoon, where the tallest thing around is the structure itself. That changes the design problem: instead of threading a deck through branches, the goal is simply height and a stable platform over flat, reflective water that shows every bird landing on it from a long way off.
At 25 metres it is one of the taller structures built for the open Pantanal landscape in this portfolio, tall enough to put a dawn flight line of ibis or spoonbills below eye level rather than overhead. Wind loading over open wetland, with nothing to break it, is the governing case here more than canopy clearance.
Over open water, height buys you a different kind of view — birds crossing below the deck instead of disappearing into branches above it.
